News that might be important, so it isn't covered.

  • The Oregon State Police which were brought in so that the "Feds" would not have to protect Portland's Federal Courthouse, are leaving. They are leaving because the local district attorney will not prosecute the rioters they arrest. This means that at some point the conflict between Federal Law enforcement and the anarchist will probably flair back up. What is interesting about this is how open the State Police were in stating their reason for leaving Portland. It basically was a rebuke of not only the District Attorney but of the entire progressive political establishment which controls the state. There are several such stories recently that, politically tie together.

  • There was the news that the New York City's police union endorsed Trump. Not only had the union never before endorsed a presidential candidate, public unions, particularly in blue states, tend to support Democrats. There is no love lost between New York City's finest and Mayor DeBlasio, but this along with the endorsement of The National Association of Police Organizations which represents over a thousand police unions and other organizations is significant. I suspect that we will see far more events like the one that occurred in Florida where forty eight sheriffs and Florida's Police Benevolent Society endorsed Trump. A theme is developing very quickly that if driven home will greatly effect the election. Trump doesn't just say "law and order," law officers back him up on it.

  • With the ongoing turmoil in the streets of major cities, Americans are beginning to take notice. Defunding the police is turning from some abstract slogan to a potential reality. This was driven home with the resignation of Carmen Best, Seattle's Police Chief who specifically pointed to the city council's actual defunding of the police as her reason for leaving.

  • As Minneapolis is learning, it not only unwise to get rid of the police, it is not that easy. Now that these "protests" are moving out of the inner cities and into the upper class sections and suburbs of cities. Now that entire once classy downtown sections of major cities are being made dysfunctional, the national electorate is starting to become attuned to the distinction between the "defund the police" left and the law and order President. They may not like Trump, but they certainly like their safety and security more.

The couple is among the horde of 2.5 million first-time gun buyers who have exercised their Second Amendment right to own weapons.

The simple truth is this. That despite all our other faults, the Boomer generation of Americans crushed institutional racism in America....
